Central Asian Regional Glaciological Centre (CARGC)
Established in 2012, the objective of the centre is to foster cooperation and improve scientific understanding of present and forecasted changes in glacier, snow and water resources in the region. The centre will promote regional research, education and capacity development to assess climate change impact on glaciers and permafrost in the runoff formation zone.
