The WWD 2022 at the national level was held at the Taman Awam Bera, Pahang in conjunction with the UN Water, World Water Day. The theme was “Groundwater, making the invisible visible”. The event was launched by YAB. Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Prime Minister of Malaysia. Many activities and programmes were conducted by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), Malaysia and other government agencies at nation level within this WWD 2022 Celebration Day.
The Humid Tropics Centre Kuala Lumpur (HTC KL) participated in WWD 2022 booth exhibition. HTC KL exhibited the information of the collaborative research with Higher Learning Institutions, other government and NGO agencies. The pioneer researches are the Debris and Mud Flow at Cameron Highland and the Prototype of Mobile Flood Wall Barrier (MFWB) NADI 1, NADI 2 and NADI 3. The National Best Thesis Award Competition for Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and Doctor of Philosophy was consucted in conjunction with the WWD 2022.
